Privacy Policy

No accounts, no data collection. Your data never leaves your device. The app only fetches anonymous market quotes — ticker symbols and currency pairs, never your holdings, amounts or identity.

What we collect

Nothing. Vestday has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking software. We cannot see your grants, your holdings, your salary or your tax figures, because they are never sent anywhere.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter — grants, vesting schedules, share counts, prices you override manually, tax settings and any notes — is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone. It is included in your device backup if you have one, under your own Apple account. Deleting the app deletes the data.

The only network requests the app makes

Market quotes. The app asks our server for the current price of the ticker symbols you have added, and for currency rates such as USD/NOK. The request contains the symbols and nothing else — no identifier, no share counts, no amounts.
Purchases. If you buy a subscription, that is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Our quote server keeps a short-lived cache of public market prices per ticker so it does not have to ask the market data source repeatedly. That cache is keyed by ticker symbol, is identical for every user, and contains no information about who asked.

Server logs

Our server records ordinary operational information about requests so we can tell whether the service is working. We do not build profiles from it and we do not combine it with anything else.

Children

Vestday is intended for adults managing their own equity compensation and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
